Aromas of currants and sweet tobacco with some lead pencil. Medium to full body with very fine tannins and a long, linear finish. Very fine, silky tannins. Pretty is the word. Direct and precise. Better in 2025 and onwards.

James Suckling awarded this wine a score of 95, noting, "Aromas of currants and sweet tobacco with some lead pencil. Medium to full body with very fine tannins and a long, linear finish. Very fine, silky tannins. Pretty is the word. Direct and precise." Suckling suggests that this wine will improve with age, recommending it be enjoyed from 2025 onwards.

Equally impressive, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, through reviewer William Kelley, gave it a score of 94. Kelley describes the wine as "mingling aromas of cassis and wild berries with notions of violets, cedar wood, orange rind, licorice and spice box in a perfumed bouquet." He highlights its "deep core of fruit, powdery tannins and succulent acids," commending the château for its continued improvement.

Decanter also scored it 94, praising its "mixture of dark fruits and gorgeous ripe red cherries on the nose with a milk chocolate dusting." The reviewer notes a "smooth texture on the palate full of black fruits," and emphasizes its "elegant, refined and poised" nature.

Jeb Dunnuck, giving it a 93, calls the 2019 vintage "another incredibly successful wine," with "up-front currant and cassis fruits" and a "round, layered, balanced mouthfeel." He remarks it is "slightly less sunny and opulent than the 2018 but still brings plenty of beautiful, sunny fruit."

Vinous, also scoring it 93, highlights its bouquet of "extremely pure blackberry, raspberry, tobacco and graphite scents" and describes the palate as having "grainy tannins, plenty of black fruit mixed with allspice and graphite, and just a touch of salted licorice."

Wine Spectator, Jane Anson, and Jeff Leve all gave the wine a score of 94, with their reviews focusing on its "racy and mineral-driven" character, "tenderness and a velvety quality," and "fresh, elegant, soft, and vibrant" finish, respectively.

This Bordeaux Blend, composed of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot and matured in 50% new oak, demonstrates a balance of refined tannins, deep fruit core, and aging potential, making it a commendable choice for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
