Intense, meaty aromas give way to red and black fruit, dried herbs, wet river stones and loamy earth. Such a gorgeous palate: juicy layers of blackberry, plum, tobacco leaf and sweet cedar underscored by dark chocolate. Muscular tannins are arresting and need more time in bottle.

Medium to full-bodied, the palate reveals a firm and fine-grained texture, allowing the black and red fruits to shimmer with jaw-dropping energy, finishing on a persistent spicy note.- LPB

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Dr. Crane Vineyard is cut from the same cloth, offering a Graves-like array of tobacco, scorched earth, chocolate, and cassis. Beautifully textured, medium to full-bodied, and balanced, with a great finish, it’s slightly more fleshy and approachable than the 2018 and will shine for 15 years as well.

Leafy character to the array of ripe cassis and blackberries, together with hints of cedar and spice. Full-bodied with fine tannins and ripe-fruit character on the palate. Juicy and delicious with lots of forest-floor flavors. Drinkable now, but better in 2023.

A racy-edged Cabernet, with cassis and damson plum notes lined with savory and iron accents. The toast is judicious on the finish, letting the fruit and savory elements leave a mouthwatering echo. Best from 2023 through 2034. 1,030 cases made.
