The 2020 Chablis Vau de Ligneau 1er Cru, aged in stainless steel with four months on the fine lees, has a well-defined bouquet with dried flowers permeating the malic fruit, touches of nettle and grass clippings. The palate is well defined with a fine bead of acidity, good concentration with a finish that fans out nicely. This Chablis deserves applause - tensile and classic in style. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis.
