Since 1888, only the finest Sangiovese Grosso grapes grown on the estate have been used to make Argiano Brunello di Montalcino. Grapes are selected from the most noble vineyard plots, vinified, then aged for 1 year in both French oak barriques and tonneaux. In the 2nd year, the wine is transferred to large Slavonian oak barrels, which allow the wine to achieve balance. Finally, after completing 2 years of maturation in wood, the wine is transferred into concrete tanks.

The combination of concentrated, ripe grapes undergoing fermentation at meticulously controlled temperatures, together with careful ageing in a selection of different oak barrels, produces red wines that conserve that incredible aging potential for which Brunello di Montalcino is famous for.

The 2021 Argiano Brunello di Montalcino is crafted from the Sangiovese Grosso varietal, originating from the esteemed region of Tuscany, Italy. This wine is produced by Argiano, a well-regarded producer known for their commitment to quality and tradition in winemaking. This particular vintage showcases the character and depth typical of Brunello di Montalcino wines, a sub-region celebrated for producing some of Italy's most cherished wines.

While there are no specific reviews provided for this vintage, it can be anticipated that the 2021 Argiano Brunello di Montalcino would exhibit the hallmarks of its region and varietal. Generally, Brunello di Montalcino wines are known for their rich and full-bodied nature, often featuring notes of dark cherry, plum, and subtle hints of earth and spice. As a Sangiovese Grosso, this wine would likely offer a complex flavor profile, with bright acidity and firm tannins, which are integral to its aging potential.

The absence of detailed reviews for this vintage leaves room for anticipation, as Brunello di Montalcino wines typically age well and develop greater complexity over time. Enthusiasts of Italian reds might expect this wine to deliver on the tradition of Argiano's past offerings, which often emphasize a balance between power and elegance.

Without specific closure or alcohol content details, the focus remains on the regional and varietal characteristics that define this wine. Those familiar with Argiano's previous vintages may anticipate a wine that embodies both tradition and quality, offering a rewarding experience for those who appreciate the richness and depth of Brunello di Montalcino. As further reviews and tastings emerge, this wine will be better positioned to reveal its unique attributes and earn its place among the esteemed wines of Tuscany.
