Robert Parker's Wine Advocate awarded this vintage 92 points, with Yohan Castaing describing it as having "a perfumed yet elegant bouquet with aromas of spices, plums, cassis, and dark berries." The palate is noted to be "supple and juicy, with structured tannins but also a slight impression of alcohol on the finish."

James Suckling gave an excellent review, scoring the wine 94 points. He highlighted its "very fine tannins with a brightness and freshness," and described the body as "medium to full... vivid and crisp," with flavors of "chocolate, walnut, and berry at the end."

Jane Anson, who scored it 90 points, called the wine "intense and concentrated," noting "heavy spice, juicy black fruits," and a "trace of heat." She also mentioned that the wine includes grapes from vineyards dating back to 1945.

Decanter’s review, which scored the wine 91 points, emphasized its "floral and nicely scented" nose, with "milk chocolate and blackcurrants." The palate is described as "smooth and supple, with brightness and vibrancy to the sweet strawberry and red cherry fruits," making it "appealing and moreish."

Jeff Leve from TheWineCellarInsider.com, who also gave an excellent 94 points, noted the presence of "leafy herbs, tobacco, spice, and black cherries" on both the nose and palate. He praised its "elegance and freshness," and the "silky, refined finish" with "sweet, black cherries, cocoa, and a touch of spice."

Lastly, The Wine Independent scored it 92 points, with Lisa Perrotti-Brown commenting on its "deep garnet-purple color" and "powerful notions of plum pudding, fruitcake, and blueberry pie." She described the palate as "big, concentrated, full-on, full-bodied" with "ripe, rounded tannins" and a "great length" on the finish.

This vintage is noted for its structured tannins, bright fruit flavors, and a balance of elegance and intensity. It is recommended to drink from 2025-2035.
