A graceful and elegant nebbiolo with aromas of cinnamon, wild strawberries, dried cherries and camphor. Full-bodied, it shows density and velvety tannins with flavors of dried cherries and oranges. Brilliant finish sustained by crisp acidity. Drink or hold.

Limpid and pretty aromas highlight red currant and strawberry with earthy brushwood and a touch of vanilla. The palate is creamy, with Nebbiolo’s sandy-grained tannins adding tactile tension. Balsamic notes tinge the red berry core and a whiff of rose surfaces on the finish. Concentrated acidity is pleasantly puckering. Hailing exclusively from Barolo-designated vineyards, Il Favot is crafted with vines younger than 15 years. Maceration lasts for no longer than a week, and the wine ages in second-use barriques.

This is rich and ready to enjoy. Cherry, strawberry and raspberry fruit is shaded by anise and iron, while firm, ripe tannins lend support. Shows fine balance and length. Drink now through 2029. 1,610 cases made, 820 cases imported.
