A very good year for Tour Saint Christophe, showing great depth and flavor despite high alcohol. Abundant dark minerals, fresh blackberries, black olives and a hint of cocoa powder. Pretty full-bodied and firm with...

jebdunnuck.com, February 2025

Spice-laden red and black fruits, leafy tobacco, savory flowers, and new leather notes all shine in the 2022 Château Tour Saint Christophe, another brilliant wine from this team. I love its complexity, and it's medium to...

Deep, rich, intense, long, and hedonistic, this thrill ride includes layers of perfectly ripe, mineral-tinted, red, black, and blue fruits. There is length, purity, volume, and expansiveness, as well as balance...

Vinous, January 2025

The 2022 Tour Saint Christophe is every bit as impressive as it was from barrel. Rich, ample and quite potent, the 2022 is wonderfully deep and fleshy right out of the gate. A blast of dark red cherry, spice, menthol and...

janeanson.com, January 2025

Always a reliable, consistent name, classified in 2022, a good quality wine with plenty of enjoyable brambled berry fruits. High alcohol as so many of these later ripening clay-limestone terroirs in the vintage, but it...

The Wine Independent, June 2025

A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, with élevage in 25% new oak barrels, 15% foudre s and the remainder in used oak barrels, after which this was bottled in July 2024. A dense nose, of lightly confit fruits...

Chateau Tour Saint Christophe is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc grown on clay and limestone soil. The sorted grapes are put directly into concrete tanks or Bordeaux barrels (about 25% of the harvest). This follows the method of Vinification Intégrale, particularly well-suited for the Chateau Tour Saint Christophe terroir.

The wine is aged in the same barrels for 15-18 months at constant temperature in the underground cellar. Depending on the vintage, the proportion of new oak varies from 30% to 40% with the balance using 1- and 2-year old barrels.
