The wine is made from Hermitage’s classic white varieties, Marsanne and Roussanne, and is listed at around 14.5% ABV.

Critics are notably aligned in praising the wine’s balance in what could have been a challenging year. Nicolas Greinacher of Vinous (96 points) says the 2023 “shines with immaculate balance and harmony,” specifically noting that it “smooth[es] over the summer heatwave… without any hint of flamboyance.” He highlights “outstanding freshness and verve,” with flavors and aromas of “honeysuckle, fresh pear, yellow apple, wet stone and delicate chamomile,” calling it “broad-shouldered, concentrated and sapid” and “masterfully assembled.”

Jeb Dunnuck delivers an excellent 98-point review, emphasizing how well the wine shows even at an early stage: “Just bottled but certainly not showing any worse for it.” He describes “quince, honeyed white flowers, and blanched almond,” then calls the palate “round, incredibly pure, and seamless,” finishing with a “supple, vibrant texture and a gorgeous finish.” Dunnuck goes further, labeling it “an absolute lights-out Hermitage Blanc,” and suggests it has the stuffing to “cruise in cold cellars for at least two decades,” with a drink window of 2026–2046.

Jeff Leve of The Wine Cellar Insider (96 points) reinforces the profile, pointing to “citrus, green apples, flowers and crushed stones,” and a “mineral driven finish” that is “long, and vibrant.” Taken together, the 2023 reads as a concentrated, age-worthy Hermitage Blanc that keeps its freshness front and center.
