(98-100 points) The 2025 Beau-Séjour Bécot has all the requisites to take its place alongside the 2022 and the other extraordinary wines of 2025. Aromatic and layered, with striking presence, the 2025 is majestic. Deep, dark red fruit, pomegranate, mint, chalk, white pepper, rose petal and lavender soar from the glass. Bright saline notes drive through the mid-palate and into a finish marked by intense fruit and vibrant minerality. The purity here is just off the charts. Yields were 32 hectoliters per hectare. The 2025 saw a cold soak of 15 days followed by another 27 days or so on the skins, on the longer side for Bordeaux. Blending is done before the wines see oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, has ultra-fine tannins, and a great finish. It brings remarkable richness, polish, and depth alongside that classic sense of purity and minerality that this château consistently delivers today.

Beau-Sejour Becot has been on fire lately, and the 2025 shows why. Concentrated, lusciously textured, creamy, and fresh, the wine delivers an intensity of fruit and a surreal sense of purity that hits all your pleasure buttons. The finish is all about its nonstop, seamless layers of velvety fruit that coat your palate as they linger for over 60 seconds. (97-99 points) The 2025 Beau-Séjour Bécot continues this estate's brilliant run of vintages with what will surely number among their finest to date. A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, this compelling wine opens in the glass with a pure and incipiently complex bouquet of dark berries and plums mingled with floral accents of iris and lilac. Medium- to full-bodied, deep and layered, with a concentrated core of fruit, sweet tannin and a bright spine of animating acidity, it concludes with a long, mineral finish. Beau-Séjour Bécot's limestone terroir is front and center in the glass.

(96-98+ points) (Saint-Émilion; 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc; a final yield of 32 hl/ha; pH 3.40; 13.5% ABV; Thomas Duclos is the consultant here). Gorgeous. A little closed aromatically at first, rendering this intimate in personality. It draws you in, however, but you have to come to it. It really rewards that. Floral, with delicate lilac and peony blossoms that are easier to find by virtue of that initial slight closure. Cedar and black cherry, a little blueberry, and graphite flooding through with aeration. A touch of rose water too. Brilliantly fresh and a wine that really signals the absence of excessive stress on this wonderful limestone plateau terroir. Exuberant in the mouth, with bright and crunchy fruit, refreshing and joyous. This is ample in frame and gently structured by the lovely powdery chalky tannins that are another signature of the terroir. Cool at the core with an almost mirror-pool clarity. Hyper-crystalline and luminous, but also vivid and vibrant, almost vibrating on the finish. The Merlot sets the frame for the Cabernet Franc to dance, to swirl bringing all its freshness. Accessible, yes, but with colossal aging potential. 96-98+

(96-98 points) Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2025 Beau-Séjour Bécot springs from the glass with vivacious notes of fresh blackberries, ripe black plums, and red currant preserves, giving way to nuances of rose bud tea, lavender, pencil lead, and iron ore, with a waft of mossy tree bark. The medium-bodied palate is wonderfully energetic with great tension from crisp acidity and tightly wound black and red berry layers, supported by very fine-grained tannins, finishing long and chalky. -Lisa Perrotti-Brown

(95-97 points) This is a blend of 78% Merlot and 22% Cabernet Franc, the latter from the domaine’s massale selection Cabernet Franc planting, and the highest percentage of Cabernet Franc ever, from vines aged just 15 years old (the Merlot is over 30 years old on average). It was picked between the 4th and 17th and September. The nose is fresh with tense red cherry, lavender and rose, confident and aromatic, with a crushed limestone freshness. The palate is elegant, reserved, with a little red cherry, juicy blood orange and perfumed rose, with a tense limestone tannic backbone underneath it all. An elegant Beau-Séjour Bécot in the 2025 vintage, with fragrant juicy fruit and a rich grip of tannins. A delicious, savoury, sinewy wine which will cellar well. The alcohol is 13.5% on analysis. 95-97/100

An ethereal wine from Beau-Séjour Bécot this year. Fragrant blackcurrants and black cherries. High energy from the get go, this has such verve and focus from the start with a zing in the mouth; juicy, succulent, gorgeous and friendly. Generous in terms of sweet, juicy acidity, mouthwatering but soft and creamy so you get a wide mouthfeel. Tannins perfectly placed, nicely supportive but not intrusive. Layers of fresh red fruits, a little touch of salinity on the finish, crunchy cranberries with a soft lick of salt wet stones. I love the precision – the real tension but not at all too tart or austere. There’s such a soft element that makes this really approachable. Very purity, pristine and clear – a real sensation of the limestone. 3.40pH. A yield of 32hlha. Ageing 37% oak casks.

(93-96+ points) Grown entirely on limestone, this fruity and pleasant wine has a very deep and intense cassis-like fruit structure, with blackberries and blueberries and a deep and well defined aftertaste. This is a very well made wine, with lots of crunchy fruit and an aftertaste that keeps going and going. It will be drinkable early on but certainly has the elements in place to age as well.

Clear depth, sinew and crunchy cranberry, blueberry and red cherry fruit, with tension, minerality, salinity, a ton of juice and mouthwatering freshness on the finish, sea spray, saffron and tobacco leaf, curls of woodsmoke and iris flowers as it opens. Great stuff, with precision and possibility, and the DNA of the location. 16ha in production out of 22ha potential, cold soak for 15C at 6 days, 32 hl/ha. 3.4 pH. 55% new oak.
