(97-99 points) A Merlot-heavy blend of 87% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Franc that will spend 15 months in 65% new French oak, the 2025 Château Feytit Clinet is just brilliant, with a full-bodied, deep, and layered profile packed with blue and black fruits, chocolate, and tobacco. On the palate, it's concentrated and powerful yet stays weightless and flawlessly balanced, with velvety tannins and a great finish. Hitting 14% alcohol, this is up with the crème de la crème of the Right Bank, as well as Bordeaux in general.

(95-97 points) Violets, licorice, truffle, licorice, smoke, black cherries, and chocolate create the perfume. Polished, plush, fresh, and creamy, the wine is packed with ripe, sweet, energetic fruits, chocolate, and espresso. The finish is long, clean, supple, and packed with sweet, ripe, juicy fruits. (94-96 points) The 2025 Feytit-Clinet is a wild, exotic beauty. Succulent red/purplish fruit, exotic spice, blood orange, mint and rose petal caress the palate. A kiss of new French oak is nicely judged. Floral top notes pull it all together on the close. Stylistically, proprietor Jeremy Chasseuil has moved away from the darker, more extracted wines of the past. Tasted two times. - Antonio Galloni

(93-95 points) Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2025 Feytit-Clinet (100% Merlot) jumps from the glass with vivacious notes of ripe blueberries and black plums, plus suggestions of camphor, anise, and fertile loam. Medium- to full-bodied, the palate delivers energetic black fruit and fine-grained tannins with seamless freshness and a minty kick to the finish. The alcohol is 14%.

Some tobacco, cedar and dark chocolate elements on the nose. There’s a sweetness from the oak with clean, ripe fruit behind so it’s a little cloying and highly charged right now with plenty of toasted elements – vanilla, chocolate – that just detract from the overall enjoyment at this point. Still, there’s good direction and persistence from start to finish. This will resolve beautifully after ageing with a silkiness to the fruit.

Cloves, sage, dried spices, supple texture, plenty of cassis and dark bilberry fruit, clear oak influence that will soften over ageing, this has ageing potential and enjoyable fruit. Highly charged. Harvest September 3 to 12. 27 hl/ha. 65% new oak for ageing.
