(97-99 points) Showing a depth of color, at first, you are almost overwhelmed by the violets, cherries and tobacco in the perfume. The initial sip shows off its character with elegance, vitality, and purity. Everything is in balance and harmony here. The silk and velvet finish is almost too much of a good thing. From start to finish, the wine is seamless, and even though there is intensity and serious concentration, the wine feels almost weightless, making this deceptively easy to drink. Yet, don't be fooled. It has all the goods needed to age and evolve for decades. The wine blends of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon. 33% Merlot, 1.5% Petit Verdot and .5 Cabernet Franc. 13.5% ABV. 3.67 pH. (96-98+ points) (Margaux; 65% Cabernet Sauvignon; 33% Merlot; 1.5% Petit Verdot; 0.5% Cabernet Franc; a final yield of 29 hl/ha; 13.5% alcohol; tasted at the UGCB press tasting at the Cité du Vin and then at Château Canon with Nicolas Audebert). Divine violet, rose petal and peony floral fireworks accompany the shimmeringly beautiful dark berry and, predominently, cherry fruits. This is a little closed perhaps at first, even more so when tasted at the UGCB press tasting but much less so when re-tasted a third time at Cannon where it just sings! This exudes class and finesse with the most gorgeously soft, svelte, cashmere mouthfeel. It's quietly understated, though much more exuberant 10 days later, incredibly harmonious, and is a star of the appellation, even if it now faces very stiff competition from others. 96-98+

Deep dark ruby garnet, opaque core, violet reflections, delicate rim brightening. Candied violets, cassis, blackberry confit, delicate precious wood nuances, multi-faceted, suggestive bouquet. Complex, after heart cherries, strawberries, extract-sweet texture, silky tannins, highly elegant, mineral, great length, great promise for the future, secure development potential.

(96-98 points) Cassis, assorted red and black fruits, spicy wood, tobacco, and graphite all emerge from the 2025 Château Rauzan-Ségla, a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 1.5% Petit Verdot, and 0.5% Cabernet Franc that's being raised 18 months in 60% new French oak. It's concentrated on the palate, has a pure, layered mouthfeel, flawless balance, and a great finish. Checking in at 13.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.7, it's rockingly good and clearly up with the finest wines in the appellation, as well as the vintage.

(96-98 points) I adore the aromatics here, a beautiful Cabernet-dominant nose, lithe and filled with savoury suggestions of dry summer fruits, with an overlay of dark chocolate, lavender and slate minerals. This has a stunning aromatic profile, even if a second sample showed slightly more oaky notes. The palate is beautifully fresh, coherent and correct, with density of fruit within which there is a rich core of polished tannins which provide a svelte frame for the wine, showing a tightly knit and integrated structure, allowing the juicy and floral fruit to work its magic. This is in the running for the best Rauzan-Ségla ever, and has a sense of coherence a number of other top-notch Margaux wines can’t quite match in this vintage. So long and so classy, a top-notch Margaux. Tasted three times. The grand vin from Nicolas Audebert and team is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon (the vineyard is currently 63% Cabernet Sauvignon), 33% Merlot, 1.5% Petit Verdot and 0.5% Cabernet Franc, picked from September 2nd to the 24th, the last few days being the Cabernets. The yield was 29 hl/ha (Cabernet yielding lower than Merlot – seen on other estates too), which is just above the appellation average. The alcohol is reported to be 13.5%. 96-98/100

Gorgeous vibrant pink rim to the wine with violet aromas on the nose, very dark but very perfumed and not at all hot or sunny. So juicy and alive with structure – the soft tannins give the outline while the real fruit purity sits in the middle. I love this a lot, very approachable, streamlined and focused with layers of fine tannins and brightness. You can feel the concentration in the construction but this carries a really fun, friendly, welcoming aspect because of the juiciness on the mid-palate. 50% grand vin production. 3.67pH. Ageing 18 months, 60% new oak. 0.5% Cabernet Franc completes the blend.

Inky colour, this is sleek, powerful, a ton of energy and uplift, very classy, bouncy, feel that you are very much in the heart of rose bud and iris flowers, DNA of the Margaux appellation, liquorice and black chocolate, really a skilfully constructed wine that will power through the years. (94-97+ points) Spicy and crunchy with deep notes of gravel this is a very well composed wine. The taste is rather strong and intense and you feel the crunchy spiciness throughout the wine. A classic expression and a fine Rauzan-Segla.

(95-97 points) Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Rauzan-Ségla needs a little shaking to wake up perfumed notes of lavender and lilacs, leading to a core of fresh black currants, wild blueberries, and black raspberries, with touches of aniseed and fragrant soil. The medium-bodied palate delivers a fine-grained texture and lovely freshness to support the nuanced black and blue fruit layers, finishing on a lingering mineral note.

(95-97 points) The 2025 Rauzan-Segla is totally seamless in the glass. Dark-toned fruit, mocha, new leather, licorice, menthol and dried herbs infuse the palate with tremendous textural depth. The 2025 is of course very young. The year's natural concentration is its most evident signature at this time, but the rest will surely follow. Polished, supremely elegant tannins support the finish. (94-96 points) The 2025 Rauzan-Ségla is promising, opening in the glass with notes of cassis, pencil shavings, sweet soil tones and a deft framing of new oak. Medium- to full-bodied, bright and layered, it's vibrant and concentrated, with a chassis of fine tannins and a penetrating, youthfully structured finish.
