TheWineCellarInsider.com, May 2026

(94-96 points) It is the intense bouquet of flowers in the perfume that initially grabs your attention. The energetic palate delivers its sensations of currants, cherries, and spice with ease. The wine is fresh, sweet...

Vinous, April 2026

(93-95 points) Broad and creamy, the 2025 Siran is a powerful, dense Margaux. There's not much subtlety here, but then again, that does not seem to be the point. Inky red/purplish fruit, lavender, mint, rose petal and...

Decanter, April 2026

Supple and so smooth, really controlled, creamy and juicy with a tangy bite to the cranberry acidity giving a complex and complete expression. Plump, chewy with lots of energy and focus and a long, mineral-liquorice edged...

janeanson.com, April 2026

Cassis and bilberry fruits, juicy, grilled oak, this has some pretty intense mid-palate expansion and yet retains an unfussy quality with ripe fruit, well balanced, sweet red pepper and Margaux floral character. Yield 32...

jebdunnuck.com, May 2026

(92-94 points) Deep purple-hued, the 2025 Château Siran has a beautiful bouquet of spicy red and black fruits, smoky tobacco, and sappy flowers. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with present yet nicely...

jamessuckling.com, April 2026

(92-93 points) A fruit-driven, juicy and mellow red with red berry and chocolate aromas. Medium-bodied with chewy tannins. Dense core of fruit and a flavorful finish.

The Wine Independent, May 2026

(90-93 points) Very fine and precise fruits, perfumed with red berries and sweet crunchy fruits. This wine is already a joy to taste. It should be ready 2-3 years after bottling and provide nice, early drinking. The...

The Wine Palate, April 2026

(91-93 points) Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Siran needs a little shaking to wake up notes of black cherries and fresh black currants, plus nuances of charcoal, mossy tree bark, and pencil lead. The medium-bodied...

Château Siran 2025 is the estate’s grand vin from Margaux, a Left Bank Bordeaux known for combining perfume with structure. Under owner Edouard Miailhe, Siran has produced a 2025 that reviewers consistently describe as fruit-forward, energetic, and firmly built for aging, with harvest reported from September 5 to September 22—“the earliest harvest in the history of the estate,” according to Jeff Leve (The Wine Cellar Insider). Leve also notes 13.5% ABV and a blend of “50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot, and 9% Petit Verdot.”

Several reviews land in excellent territory. Leve’s 96-point appraisal leads the pack, praising “the intense bouquet of flowers” and an “energetic palate” of “currants, cherries, and spice,” finishing “fresh, sweet, and juicy.” Vinous is also strongly positive, with Antonio Galloni calling it “broad and creamy” and “a powerful, dense Margaux,” highlighting “inky red/purplish fruit, lavender, mint, rose petal and mocha,” while noting “not much subtlety” at this stage and suggesting complexity may emerge with time. Decanter’s 94 points emphasizes polish and control: “supple and so smooth,” with “cranberry acidity,” “lots of energy and focus,” and a “long, mineral-liquorice edged finish,” adding that it is “on the cool side” with “no overt opulence.”

Jane Anson (94) points to classic Médoc markers—“cassis and bilberry fruits” plus “Margaux floral character”—and adds a concrete vintage detail: “Yield 32 hl/ha.” Jeb Dunnuck (94) highlights “smoky tobacco” and “sappy flowers” alongside “nicely integrated oak,” concluding it stays “balanced and elegant.” James Suckling (93) frames it as “fruit-driven, juicy and mellow,” with “chewy tannins” and a “dense core.” For timing, The Wine Independent suggests it may drink well relatively early, calling it “already a joy to taste,” while Leve projects a longer arc, “Drink from 2029 - 2055.”
