For a 1975 Medoc this wine has received surprisingly consistent notes. While it has always revealed some of the severity and austerity of the vintage it has consistently possessed more depth sweetness of fruit and a more expansive texture. There is a firm tannic framework but the wine is admirably concentrated with a classic herb cassis cedar tobacco and spicy-scented nose full body an impressive palate a youthful personality and a long finish. There are no signs of color or fruit degradation. With 1-2 hours of decanting this wine can be drunk now; it promises to age for another 15+ years.</P>
