Last Tasted 5/93Similar to the other two single vineyard offerings from Diamond Creek in 1976 this blockbuster nearly opaque-colored wine offers an intense fragrance of cedar spices and rich cassis fruit. Although a slight roasted element is present the wine is not over-ripe. It is staggeringly rich and highly extracted with its fabulous richness of fruit balancing out the high tannin level. While the wine remains thick young and unevolved it is well-balanced and capable of another 10-20 years of aging potential.
