Although the presence of some trace sediment gives away its age the color is holding on to a ruby/garnet hue with just a touch of browning at the rim. Aromas of damp pine forest tamari menthol and baking spices are backed up by still-pronounced black cherry notes. On entry forest floor and spice notes pick up some saddle leather while dried cherry and plum round it out through the finish. This is an excellent example of mature Bordeaux which can be enjoyed at a very value-oriented price. Drink now.
