While there are vestiges of primary fruit remaining this has now gone largely secondary with subtle but not exuberant spice and mature black fruit notes preceding still somewhat structured flavors that offer good but not... The '89 RSV has likely reached its apogee and while I would expect the remaining tannins to soften over time I don't see this necessarily improving from here. Multiple and consistent notes.
