Perfumed and gorgeous with flowers berry and plum. Full-bodied very sweet and round with lovely rich fruit and a long finish. A tiny bit of heat but will come around nicely. Very pretty indeed. Hard not to swallow now. '91/'92 Port retrospective. Best from 2006 through 2014. -JS

The firmly-structured moderately tannic impressively colored and concentrated 1991 Vintage Port is less precocious and more reserved than the 1992 Quinta do Bomfim Vintage Port. It may develop along the lines of the stern but powerful 1977. The wine offers a classic display of black fruits licorice and chocolate aromas and flavors as well as a full-bodied muscular style with considerable tannin and firmness. Give it 10-12 years of cellaring and drink it over the following 30+.
