(NM88-89 points) A decent bottle tasted blind for Wine magazine in April 2005. A lean and unengaging nose that lacks vigor and concentration. But this is another wine where the palate is much better with toasty ripe black fruits, tobacco and cedar. Well-balanced with good acidity and good weight on the mid-palate. Linear and quite dry on the finish, so I would drink this soon. A third encounter with this wine in December 2005. An attractive, far more fleshier nose with redcurrant, black cherry and wild strawberry. The palate is well-balanced, still a little tannic with a touch of dried blood. Four-square towards the savory finish. A fine Les Ormes that is drinking earlier than either the 1989 or 1990.
