There is no pretention of "Euro elegance" from ZD for which we can all be thankful. It is loaded with extract and highly concentrated cassis and new oak. This youthful unevolved 1997 should unfold easily for 15+ years. While powerful and concentrated it possesses huge amounts of oak which should hopefully become better integrated in 3-4 years. It's an oak lover's bonanza! Anticipated maturity: 2005-2020.
