Gently fading orange red, with some floral notes. I recently enjoyed the Morey St Denis 1er Cru over dinner and it was in its perfect place; the Clos de la Roche is still getting there, but it took until the end of the meal to go through its paces. There is an attract rive sweetness of fruit, an increasing depth of flavour, and justifies Laurent Ponsot’s claim that they got this vintage right.
