A stupendous effort the 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon sports deep aromas of sweet black fruits immersed in spices. Big powerful and robust it coats the palate with tar licorice stewed black cherries and cassis liqueur yet retains an awe-inspiring juiciness and verve. In addition this medium to full-bodied wine reveals an extremely long finish studded with exquisitely ripened tannin. Drink it over the next 14-15 years.

Lithe and open with refined tannins and juicy currant and blueberry flavors. Hints at spicy oak on the long fine-grained finish and ultimately comes off as a graceful ageable red. Best from 2008 through 2015. 2198 cases made. -HS
