The 2003 Saint Joseph Les Granits shows the vintage nicely, but had a touch of dry tannin that will need to be watched. Nevertheless, it is gorgeous today, with ample blackberry fruit, saddle leather, wild herbs, caramelized beef and toasted spice aromas and flavors, full-bodied richness and a big finish. It’s in a good spot right now, so don’t chance it and enjoy bottles over the coming 4-5 years. You won’t regret it. - Jeb Dunnuck
