Deep and long with all the components in harmony yet needs time to fully realize its potential. The long finish is the best part. Best from 2009 through 2020. 350 cases imported. –BS

Aromas of mirabelle nutmeg candied ginger and spicy vanillin oak. Tight taut and penetrating with a powerful structure and very firm acidity suggesting that this grand cru will need at least five to seven years of aging. The '05 version is much easier and sweeter in comparison but this is chewy powerful and gripping not to mention elegant. Finishes very long with notes of mint and wet stone.

This is a big wine carrying plenty of wood yet there is a good chance that it will successfully integrate it with a few years in bottle as there is terrific dry extract here.
