Closed and brooding this classic dark-fruited blend delivers a spicy expression of dark berries plums dark chocolates pepper cloves and licorice backed by cedar/vanilla oak minerals and coffee grounds. Long and dusty with assertive briary fruit and smoky oak underpinned by firm fine-grained tannins it finishes with length and concentration lingering chocolatey fruit and suggestions of molasses.

Blended of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon and 46% Shiraz the 2004 The Signature Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz gives a deep garnet-purple color and pronounced notes of kirsch creme de cassis dried plums Mediterranean herbs and a whiff of capsicum. Full-bodied and with ample flesh it's well structured with firm fine tannins and crisp acid going long and earthy in the finish. Drinking now it should cellar to 2017+.

Smooth round and especially graceful with the ripe blackberry tar and licorice flavors settling gently into a supple frame. The finish lets it all linger like the glow of a red sunset. Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Drink now through 2016. 800 cases imported.--HS
