Although production is tiny (300 cases) Araujo's Eisele Vineyard Syrah is an ageworthy effort that is generally co-fermented with a small amount of Viognier (around 4%) and aged in French oak (50% new). An exotic floral litchi nut blackberry jam licorice and spice-filled bouquet soars from the glass of the inky/blue/purple-hued 2004 Syrah Eisele Vineyard. The dollop of Viognier included in the blend provides uplift to the aromatics of this opulent flamboyant ostentatious 2004. It should drink beautifully for 7-10 years. Not yet released.Tel.
