The 2005 Bouscat Cuvée La Gargone, which is also a Bordeaux Supérieur, picks up the level of concentration significantly. A major sleeper of the vintage, this inky, opaque purple wine displays notes of crème de cassis, licorice and incense along with a touch of espresso roast. It is full-bodied, very concentrated, and could easily compete with the cru classés of the Médoc. This gorgeous wine should drink well for at least another decade. - Robert M. Parker, Jr.
