The 2005 Banyuls Rimage La Coume represents a parcel selection of a small amount of Grenache Gris an oddity among its components. Vanilla cooked plum and black cherry aromas lead to a rich thick very sweet yet pure clear palate showcasing marzipan plum preserves cooked cherry and chocolate. A striking contrast of creaminess and tartness is not entirely resolved and this displays more overt sweetness - if also more sheer concentration - in its finish than the "regular" 2005 Rimage.
