I've always believed in the ageability of this cuvee and it's great to see that demonstrated time and time again. The 2005 Esprit de Beaucastel Blanc is another full-bodied white from the Tables Creek team that has texture and richness, while staying fresh, lively and pure. Notes of buttered citrus, crushed rocks, lemon oil, juniper and flower oil all emerge from this beautiful white that will continue to evolve gracefully for another 5-10 years. - Jeb Dunnuck

Reticent but complex nose offers lemon resin and minerals along with a note of iodine. Rich and sweet but at the same time penetrating and cool conveying a strong impression of energy. Offers lovely fruit and palate feel and finishes smooth rich and long. This too strikes me as a better version of a Northern Rhone white.

The nose is subtle up front but explodes with huge honeysuckle honeydew melon and anise aromas. Good crisp acidity on the front of the palate leading to nice depth and richness on the mid-palate. Citrus zest spicy anise and mango lie over a touch of flinty minerality. Nice long smooth finish.<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" id="viddler" height="370" width="437"><param name="movie" value="http://www.viddler.com/player/7198b243/"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><embed src="http://www.viddler.com/player/7198b243/" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" name="viddler" height="370" width="437"></object>
