The largest production cuvee (1000 cases) the 2005 Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard is one of the few Tensley wines that sees any new oak (20%). Its opaque purple color is followed by notes of beef blood tar blueberry and blackberry liqueur licorice and acacia flowers. It is a full-bodied dense rich impressively endowed effort which like its siblings needs several years of bottle age and should age nicely for 12 or more years.
