The 2006 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru from Boillot is a little gem, and on this evening, it outclasses two Chevaliers from Leflaive. Lucid in the glass with a slight greenish tinge. The nose is beautiful with lime cordial, crushed stone and lemon verbena. Effervescent! The palate is very well-defined, with plenty of vim and vigor. Taut acidity with hints of tropical fruit surfacing towards the finish; this is just drinking beautifully. Tasted at Alino's dinner at La Trompette.
