Serious nose combines blackberry flinty minerality and smoke lifted by a floral topnote. Concentrated and dense yet light on its feet with exhilarating gripping flavors of kirsch minerals and stone. Shows good pep for a 12-year-old Cotes de Castillon. Bright and juicy on the palate with ample blue and black fruits, the integrated tannins and youthful acidity give this good length and an appealing mouthfeel. Hints of dusty earth and broken stone round into form on the back end giving this a nice savory edge. Drink now through 2025+.
