Aromas of black cherry and dark berries complemented by notes of licorice and vanilla. In the mouth this has a pleasingly smooth texture and the blend of dark fruit flavors with hints of vanilla and coffee are a terrific combo. Ends with an extended fruit-laden finish. A full-bodied red with a tannic structure that bodes well for aging.

The nose is a classic representation of the 2006 harvest with aromas of fresh earth and herbs lying atop dark berry cherry and menthol. This is a supple approachable wine that is lithe in profile with a long lingering finish that ends in very fine tannins. The fruit seems to grow in concentration from entry to the finish ending in rich bright textures that promise great cellaring potential. The Oroppas has always represented excellence in winemaking at affordable pricing and this release continues that trend.
