The firm Aglianico tannins are virtually tamed in this large-scaled Taurasi. This is the most textured and full-bodied of the estate's Taurasis, but all the elements meld together with notable harmony and distinction. Sweet rose petals, licorice and herbs add complexity on the vivid, totally striking finish.

Wonderfully complex on the nose, with cherry and floral notes taking the lead, followed by elements of leather, herbs and cigar box. Bright and lifted cherry flavors form the core on the palate while a mélange of spice, rose petal and walnut add complexity. With 10+ years from the vintage, this is still showing lively acidity and leaves your mouth watering for more. In a great spot at the moment, this has plenty in reserve and should continue to deliver over the next 5-8 years.
