Quite toasty, with lots of coffee and warm cocoa notes, followed by mulled fig, plum and black currant fruit and a healthy dose of maduro tobacco on the broad, fleshy finish. Quite toasty, with lots of coffee and warm cocoa notes, followed by mulled fig, plum and black currant fruit and a healthy dose of maduro tobacco on the broad, fleshy finish. Not shy in style, but good underlying acidity keeps it all together. Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2014. 4,580 cases made. -JM

James Suckling - jamessuckling.com, December 2010
A pretty and very drinkable wine now with chocolate, berry and sweet tobacco character. Medium to full body, with delicate velvety tannins and a delicious finish. Better in 2012.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, May 2011
A sleeper of the vintage, the slightly oaky 2008 exhibits sweet, fleshy raspberry and black currant fruit intermixed with hints of flowers, caramel, coffee and chocolate. Consume it over the next 6-8 years.
