Vall LLach's entry-level 2008 Embruix sourced from the estate's younger vines is composed of 30% Garnacha 25% Carinena 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and the balance Syrah and Merlot aged for 14 months in seasoned French oak. Opaque purple in color with an expressive nose of cedar lavender spice box mineral licorice black cherry and black raspberry on the palate it is full-bodied smooth-textured and sweetly fruited with outstanding volume and length. This outstanding value can be approached now and over the next 8-10 years.
