The expressive and highly complex nose offers an attractive layering to the ripe and intensely spicy black fruit nose that evidences plenty of wood treatment that complements perfectly the round rich and mouth coating big-bodied flavors that possess good mid-palate concentration and here it appears relatively clear that the supporting tannins are completely ripe all wrapped in a long finish where the wood resurfaces. There is a mild touch of rusticity but overall this delivers solid quality.
