It is a fabulous effort. Exuberant, hedonistic quantities of white chocolate, black currants, sweet cherries and Christmas fruitcake soar from the glass of this dense ruby/purple-tinged wine. Medium to full-bodied, round, fleshy and succulent, this is a major sleeper of the vintage and ideal for drinking over the next 6-8 years. - Robert Parker

Dark purple, almost black from the core straight to the rim. Ripe purple and blue fruit burst from the glass, supported by more subtle notes of black licorice, forest floor, crushed rocks and baking spice. Medium-bodied and well-balanced on the palate, the wine is still vibrant, with a bright core of acidity nicely balancing the dark fruit. The tannins are well-integrated and lend structure through a long and lingering finish. 100% Merlot, this drinks well above its humble price point and should continue to offer ample pleasure for another 5-7 years.
