The 2009 Serenade Single Vineyard was sourced from a parcel planted in 1933 fermented with native yeasts and aged in 100% new French oak for 18 months. A deeper opaque purple color than the Temis cuvee it displays the same elegant personality but with a firmer structure. Elements of savory black fruits intermingled with floral notes and exotic spices lead to a layered spicy palate that expands nicely in the glass. Drink this outstanding effort from 2013 to 2024. - Jay Miller
