Rich supple and full with a pristine quality to the flavors of red cherry and spices. Finishes impressively long with a fine dusting of ripe tannins. Offers excellent potential. Leroux told me he's doing a bit less pigeage these days especially in rich vintages with a lot of alcohol which offer greater potential for extraction.

A completely different nose of pungent earth and ripe dark berry fruit aromas that are in keeping with the serious concentrated and seductively rich medium-bodied flavors that possess plenty of tannin-buffering extract all wrapped in a long focused and complex finish. This is really quite good for what it is and is actually less rustic than it typically is probably because the phenolic ripeness of the tannins is so high. Worth considering for value.
