Here the wood is already well-integrated with a relatively high-toned and slightly fresher nose of wild red currant floral spice and intensely earthy aromas that are more elegant than is typical for both the vintage and the appellation. The textured concentrated broad-scaled and overtly muscular flavors possess excellent detail and a fine-grained minerality on the firm but not aggressively tannic and mouth coating finish. This powerful effort is finer than I usually find it though to be sure there is plenty of muscle present.

Here's a seductive red rich and supple sporting black cherry plum and sweet spice aromas and flavors. There's ample tannic structure and good freshness too ending with oak spice and a touch of heat. Best from 2015 through 2024.
