85% merlot and 15% cabernet franc. Translucent ruby core with a bright rose rim. Sweet plum crunchy raspberry and wild strawberry overlaying notes of coffee grounds cocoa powder and focused minerality. Medium-bodied with baking spice light hints of smoke underbrush and surprisingly well-integrated tannins. The finish is driven by notes of stony minerality. Enjoy now after a decant though it will continue to evolve over the next 7-9 years.

A well-structured version with a spine of charcoal and graphite supporting the dark fleshy blackberry fig paste and mulled black currant fruit. Offers a racy edge with flickers of anise and incense on the finish. Shows lovely mouthfeel as this expands in the glass. Best from 2013 through 2025.-J.M.

Deep garnet core with a magenta rim. The nose is floral with elegant notes of raspberry rose cherry and clove which continue onto the palate. With ethereal texture and delicate structure this stretches out with air enabling the gentle tannins to caress over a long lingering finish. This is a wine for those who prefer old-world finesse. While approachable today this will continue to evolve over the next decade.
