This is very Vosne with the intense spiciness exhibited by the expressive nose of ripe cassis and blue berry aromas that complement the anise and cinnamon notes that can be found on the rich and silky flavors that brim... This is very Vosne with the intense spiciness exhibited by the expressive nose of ripe cassis and blue berry aromas that complement the anise and cinnamon notes that can be found on the rich and silky flavors that brim with dry extract all wrapped in a dusty mouth coating and naturally sweet finish. This is a terrific villages and highly recommended. - Comments: Sweet spot Outstanding ♥

The 2009 Vosne-Romanee is a touch linear and compact for the vintage but nevertheless shows plenty of intensity and sheer muscle. Here the fruit tends towards darker tonalities of red with notable depth and persistence... Good lift to the aromas of redcurrant licorice spices and nutty oak. Sweet juicy and rather dense for village wine with attractive inner-mouth perfume. Saturates the palate on the back end finishing with spicy tannins and lovely aromatic persistence. "Always a relatively low pH here" notes Croix but there's nothing austere about this wine in 2009.
