Sweet flowers spices and licorice wrap around the seamless captivating finish. Oreno is one of Italy's most improved wines. The 2009 a blend of Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese represents another move in the right direction. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2029. 94+ -AG

Blackberry and plum appear on the nose supported by secondary notes of wildflowers salt air saddle leather and just a hint of espresso. The 2009 features Oreno's signature silky texture and fine well-integrated tannins but in its youthful state the flavors are still tight. With vibrant acidity this has all the makings of another stunning release from Oreno. In another 2-4 years it will be nothing short of fantastic.
