Deep firm and concentrated this gorgeous wine has the muscularity of Cabernet but the plush velvet elegance of Pinot Noir. Youthful and rich it has deep fruit flavors of blackberry and black cherry with barrel notes of coffee chocolate and anise. Full smooth and supple it is certainly among the best of the Oregon 2009s.

A pure ripe and refined nose features notes of plum dark berries and briar nuances that can also be found on the vibrant rich and impressively intense medium-bodied flavors that possess a lush mouth feel as well as fine power. I like the phenolic maturity of the supporting tannins plus they're well-integrated on the balanced and solidly persistent finish. There is presently not as much depth as this needs to merit its score but the underlying material is so good that my score assumes that it will come with time in the cellar. ♥ - Comments: Outstanding
