This viscous cab has an inky core with a bright purple rim. The nose is plush with big pure aromas of black cherry French vanilla and stewed plum. Impressively integrated at this young age this bottling does very well to represent the rich Napa cabernet profile that Caymus is known for. Flavors of semi-sweet chocolate lead to an assortment of red and black fruit including blackberry cherry and ripe plum along with a deft touch of oak. The sweet tannins provide a lengthy lingering finish with a hedonistic depth that will unfurl for years to come. Almost irresistible now this flagship Napa cabernet will develop beautifully for a decade or more.
