This is a classic Volnay with an ultra-elegant and admirably pure nose of red pinot fruit and floral notes that marry into intensely stony vibrant and utterly delicious flavors that possess a lacy even slightly creamy... This is a classic Volnay with an ultra-elegant and admirably pure nose of red pinot fruit and floral notes that marry into intensely stony vibrant and utterly delicious flavors that possess a lacy even slightly creamy texture on the lingering finish. This is certainly attractive though it perhaps doesn't quite have the laser-like delineation that one often experiences with a fine Frémiets. That is a minor nit however and overall this is lovely.

Again loads of forward fruit on the palate. The nose and positively delicious fruit borders on New World with a sweet lush and juicy personality. This offers classic Volnay gentility great acidity and purity; albeit in a modern style that bothers me not. 90+
