Reviews for 2010 La Providence Bordeaux Blend

WS 97
Wine Spectator - Wine Spectator, March 2011
Sleek with a beautiful beam of red licorice and cassis. Long and supple with a dense structure but thoroughly integrated. There's lots in reserve with lots of spice as well. Merlot with about 10 percent Cabernet Franc... Sleek with a beautiful beam of red licorice and cassis. Long and supple with a dense structure but thoroughly integrated. Truffle 5 spice jammy black raspberry licorice and cocoa powder aromas open to a refined elegant polished Pomerol. Black cherry chocolate licorice and raspberry find their way to the finish which builds in intensity.

Tasted at JP Moueix. The Providence 2010 has a very pure bouquet with macerated black cherries blueberry truffle and a touch of smoke. Good lift and precision here. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe sensual tannins... Tasted at JP Moueix. The Providence 2010 has a very pure bouquet with macerated black cherries blueberry truffle and a touch of smoke. Good lift and precision here. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe sensual tannins good cohesion and poise here with fine mineralité showing through. At the moment this is showing a tad more tension and vibrancy than the Latour-a-Pomerol with a very precise finish that bodes well for the future. Excellent.

2010: Resurrected by Christian Moueix Providence is made in a muscular macho style with considerable minerality as well as dense plum blackberry and black currant fruit a formidable quantity of tannin and stunning depth... 2010: Resurrected by Christian Moueix Providence is made in a muscular macho style with considerable minerality as well as dense plum blackberry and black currant fruit a formidable quantity of tannin and stunning depth and richness. The classic 2010 is similar in style and personality to that of the great Moueix estate of Chateau Trotanoy. Forget it for 5-6 years and drink it over the following 25-30 years.

Wonderful nose of forest fruits and flowers follow through to a full body with ultra velvety tannnins and an intense finish. Juicy.
