Tasted from a 100-milliliter test tube, the Monteverro 2010 Terra di Monteverro brings us back in time, and it is the most intriguing sample in this mini vertical of three selected vintages. The wine is mature, no surprise, with hints of licorice and dried rosemary that add unique complexity and depth. The primary fruit, with all its inky and impenetrable darkness, is still there. However, the bouquet is beautifully amplified and shaped by extra bottle age. - Monica Larner

A pure and attractive red with currants, raspberries and minerals. Full body, with silky tannins and a fresh and clean finish. Second wine of Monteverro. 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Cabernet Franc, 15% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. Try in 2016. But very pretty now.
