This is also quite ripe with earthy black cherry plum earth and spice hints preceding the solidly mineral-driven medium-bodied flavors that also possess unusually fine tannins that contribute to the refined mouth feel of the moderately structured and beautifully complex finish. As with virtually all of the wines in the Taupenot 2010 range this has a palpable feel of energy to it and you just feel like drinking this if for no other reason that all of the structural elements are in perfect harmony. Note however that despite the refinement this is firm and will need plenty of cellar time. Drink: 2020+

The 2010 Morey Saint Denis La Riotte literally hovers on the palate. This is an especially weightless gracious Morey endowed with gorgeous length and finesse.
