Also superb, with classy red and black raspberry, toast, spice and hints of coffee bean on the nose and palate, the 2010 Syrah Toasted Slope (100% Syrah) hits the palate with a medium to full-bodied, elegant texture... Also superb, with classy red and black raspberry, toast, spice and hints of coffee bean on the nose and palate, the 2010 Syrah Toasted Slope (100% Syrah) hits the palate with a medium to full-bodied, elegant texture, beautiful mid-palate depth and enough ripe tannin to evolve gracefully for upwards of a decade. Drink now-2020. 93+ - Jeb Dunnuck

This is the winery’s least expensive Syrah, but it’s also just about their best. Despite high alcohol, it doesn’t feel hot, offering a warm, glycerine richness to complex layers of blackberries... This is the winery’s least expensive Syrah, but it’s also just about their best. Despite high alcohol, it doesn’t feel hot, offering a warm, glycerine richness to complex layers of blackberries, blueberries, mocha, grilled meat, black pepper and new oak. It’s hard to see it aging well, but it’s a delicious, dramatic Syrah to drink now.

A dense, pleasantly earthy style, with loam, crushed rock, dried berry, sage and cedar notes that stay tight and compact. Drink now through 2020. – JL
